Smart restroom hygiene technology

Waterlock

Encouraging better hygiene, one restroom at a time.

A smart, affordable hygiene safety system that uses a physical Waterlock device, faucet sensing, and lock control technology to encourage handwashing before restroom exit.

The Problem

Public restrooms break the hygiene chain.

People wash their hands, then touch the same shared door handle everyone else did. That final step undoes everything.

  • Shared exit handles are the most touched surfaces in any restroom.
  • Signage alone has little effect on real handwashing behavior.
  • Facilities carry the reputational cost of preventable illness spread.

The Solution

A simple lock that closes the hygiene gap.

Waterlock is a magnetic lock system built around a physical Waterlock device and lock control technology. The system stays engaged until the sink is used. Once the faucet is activated, the system unlocks the door, allowing the user to exit with a lower incidence and likelihood of recontamination.

Waterlock is simple, intuitive, and designed to fit into public restroom setups without requiring a full renovation.

Waterlock Device

A physical lock device and connected hygiene safety system designed for public restroom environments.

Lock Control Technology

A low voltage control unit receives the faucet signal and releases the magnetic lock.

Hygiene Safety System

A practical restroom flow that encourages handwashing before exit.

How It Works

4 steps. One cleaner restroom experience.

  1. 01

    Faucet Sensor Detects Use

A faucet sensor detects handwashing activity.

  2. 02

    Signal Reaches Lock Control Unit

The signal travels to the lock control unit.

  3. 03

    Magnetic Lock Releases

The door's magnetic lock releases after sink activation.

  4. 04

    Optional Audio Reminder Plays

An optional speaker can play a simple reminder to encourage proper handwashing.

This encourages better hygiene and helps facilities reduce illness spread, protect reputations, and create a cleaner restroom experience.
